FutureRuby

July 9-12, 2009, Metropolitan Hotel, Toronto, Canada

People who program in Ruby aren’t like other coders

We are the artists, philosophers, and troublemakers. We realize that the fringe of today is the mainstream of tomorrow. We grease the engines of progress, even when we're working outside of the machine.

FutureRuby isn't a Ruby conference, but a conference for Rubyists. This is a call to order - a congress of the curious characters that drew us to this community in the first place. We have a singular opportunity to express a long-term vision, a future where Ruby drives creativity and prosperity without being dampened by partisan politics.

Welcome to the new home of FutureRuby! You have a lot of reading to catch up on, so we’ll spare you any rhetoric:

- We’re penning the last names into our itinerary of speakers right now – for today’s daily dose, we’re pleased to announce that Molly Holzschlag will be bringing her greatness to the FutureRuby podium.

- Talk summaries will start appearing on the site to tease you starting June 6th, since you keep asking.

- Volunteer positions are now 100% maxed out. Thanks so much to everyone, past and present, who has wrote us to offer a helping hand.

- Red Alert: There are a mere 48 days until the kick-off of FutureRuby. Regular priced tickets are available until sell-out, or until June 15th – whichever comes first.

Our American comrades should note that the exchange rate currently works magic in the form of a $100 discount. And finally – FAILcamp and Comrades slots are almost non-existent. Act now!
